At Rocky Mountain Acupuncture and Wellness Center, our mission is to reconnect you with your natural state of wellness. As a licensed acupuncturist and licensed in the state of Colorado, Monica Laurila, our owner and practitioner, has dedicated her career to providing effective and personalized treatments that address the unique needs of each patient. With over two decades of experience in traditional Chinese medicine, Monica has developed a comprehensive understanding of Western and dental medicine, making her approach to therapy both unique and holistic.

Services

Our center offers a wide range of services, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, tuina, facial rejuvenation, and ear candling. We utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including traditional Chinese medicine, Constitutional Facial Acupuncture, and micro(current) stimulation, to ensure that our patients receive the most effective treatment possible.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the oldest and most reliable medical practices in the world, with a history dating back beyond 4,000 years. It has been used effectively to rebalance the mind, body, and spirit, triggering endorphins and enkephalins to reduce pain, increasing energy and blood flow to affected areas, and enhancing overall balance of the entire human body.

Herbal Medicine

We utilize patent, encapsulated, and tablet forms of traditional Chinese herbs and supplements, tailoring each patient's treatment plan to their unique needs. Our herbal remedies can be used short-term or long-term, depending on the disorder being treated.

Cupping

Cupping is a therapy in which a cupping jar is attached to the skin surface, warming and promoting the free flow of qi and blood in the meridians, dispelling cold dampness, diminishing swelling, and pain. It can be used to treat common cold, cough, and asthma, as well as low back, shoulder, and leg pain.

Tuina

Tuina is a form of Chinese manipulative therapy often used in conjunction with acupuncture, moxibustion, and cupping. It is beneficial in musculoskeletal disorders and can be used to treat a wide range of conditions.

Facial Rejuvenation

Facial Acupuncture is a holistic treatment that views the face as an extension of the meridians of the body. When the face is needled, blood flow and qi (energy) carry nutrients to the cellular structure, increasing collagen output and reducing symptoms of Bell's palsy, TMJ, neuropathies, and aids stroke patients.

Electro-Dermal Testing

Electro-dermal testing uses a special machine to question the body's Innate Intelligence. The results are presented back to the patient and practitioner in an easy-to-understand format, enabling a deeper understanding of the body's needs and optimal treatment plan.

IQS Machine

The IQS machine is a component of our electro-dermal testing services. This device uses a Biofeedback type of response to examine a client's stress levels, providing a comprehensive overview of their physiological and emotional state.
