Rockville Presbyterian Cooperative Nursery School

Rockville Presbyterian Cooperative Nursery School (RPCNS) is a part-time, parent-run, cooperative that provides nursery school classes for children aged 2, 3, and 4. Established in 1963, RPCNS was founded by a group of parent parishioners from the Rockville Presbyterian Church with the goal of providing high-quality, secular, preschool education. Today, we continue to offer a unique and enriching experience for our students and their families.

Our Philosophy

At RPCNS, we believe that early childhood education should be a collaborative effort between parents, teachers, and children. Our cooperative model allows parents to take an active role in their child's education, while our experienced and certified teaching staff provide a nurturing and stimulating environment. Our low adult-to-child ratios ensure that each child receives the attention and care they need to thrive.

Our Services

RPCNS offers a range of programs and services designed to meet the needs of our students and their families. Our classes include:

• Twos Class: A two-day or three-day program for children aged 2, with a focus on socialization, exploration, and play-based learning.
• Threes Class: A three-day or five-day program for children aged 3, with a focus on developing social skills, fine motor skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Fours Class/PreK: A five-day program for children aged 4, with a focus on preparing for kindergarten and developing important skills in literacy, math, and science.

In addition to our core programs, we offer a range of enrichment activities, including music time, art projects, and outdoor play. We also provide before and after care services for families who need flexibility in their schedules.
