As a leading advocate for sustainable mattress recycling practices, MRC is dedicated to developing and implementing innovative solutions for the responsible recycling of mattresses.

Mattress Recycling Council envisions a future in which mattress recycling is a standard practice, effectively reducing the amount of waste sent to landfills and minimizing the environmental impact of the mattress industry.

Program Highlights

Operating statewide in California, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, MRC's Bye Bye Mattress program has made significant progress in reducing waste and promoting recycling. To date, over 5 million mattresses have been recycled through MRC's programs in California and Oregon. In California alone, more than 5 million mattresses have been recycled, with another 775,000 in Connecticut and 330,000 in Rhode Island.
