Quality of Instruction and Coaching
Several reviewers have expressed concerns about the quality of instruction and coaching at North Stars. Alicia Kendig Glass and Kathryn Oliver shared similar experiences, mentioning that the instructors were low energy, unenthusiastic, and struggles to manage large classes. Kathryn Oliver's son was even injured during a trial class due to the instructor's negligence. On the other hand, Candice Casey and Marina Maxwell praised the exceptional training and coaching they received at the gym.
Facilities and Cleanliness
The facility and cleanliness of North Stars have been criticized by several reviewers. Rhonda B. mentioned that the gym was "unkept" with ripped mats, crumbling foam, and piles of stuff everywhere. Kathryn Oliver noted that the facility had a strong odor. However, Candice Casey did not mention any issues with the facility or cleanliness.
Enrollment and Billing
Alicia Kendig Glass and Rhonda B. had issues with the enrollment and billing process at North Stars. Glass was misinformed about the length of the class she signed up for and was accused of not paying enough. Rhonda B. had to cancel her membership but was still charged by the gym.
Overall Experience
The overall experience at North Stars seems to be highly dependent on the individual's experience and expectations. While some reviewers, like Candice Casey and Marina Maxwell, have had excellent experiences, others, like Alicia Kendig Glass, Rhonda B., Kathryn Oliver, and Bryan James, have had negative experiences with the gym's quality of instruction, facilities, and enrollment process.
