Obsessions Gift Shop

Obsessions Gifts is a business that aims to bring together the creative works of the community while providing a space for creativity and acceptance of all abilities. Our mission is to enhance creativity, mental well-being, and inclusion through art and crafts. We are passionate about providing a platform for local artists, small businesses, and individuals with Autism, Neurodiversity, or unique abilities to showcase their handmade products.

In 2017, Obsessions Gift Shop was founded by Betty and Nijah, a mother-daughter duo who turned their jewelry-making hobby into a brick-and-mortar business. Their commitment to the Autism community and their passion for creativity led them to create a space that is more than just a gift shop. In 2017, they formed GPAC, Girl Power Arts and Crafts, due to the lack of outlets for females on the Autism Spectrum to socialize and develop communication competencies. In 2020, GPAC became MPAC, Motivating People through Arts and Crafts, to include males and further empower this mission for everyone.

At Obsessions Gifts, we treasure the connections we have made throughout the community and look forward to creating many more art projects and connections. We offer workshops, volunteering, and entrepreneurial opportunities to enhance confidence and discover new abilities for all individuals, especially those on the spectrum.

Our Services

At Obsessions Gifts, we offer a variety of services that cater to all ages and abilities. Our services include:

• Spin Art: We offer spin art sessions that allow you to create unique and colorful designs on canvas. This service is great for parties, gatherings, and walk-ins.
• Splatter Art: Our splatter art sessions let you unleash your creativity and create abstract art using different colors and techniques. This service is perfect for date nights, college nights, and team-building events.
• Create & Pour: Our create & pour sessions allow you to create your own custom candles, wax melts, or reed diffusers. This service is great for gifts, parties, and DIY enthusiasts.
• Parties & Gatherings: We offer space for birthday parties, field trips, club meetings, and business groups. We can customize our services to cater to your group's needs and abilities.
• MPAC Workshops: We offer workshops for MPAC, a program that empowers individuals on the Autism Spectrum through arts and crafts. These workshops provide a safe and inclusive space for socialization, skill development, and entrepreneurial opportunities.
