Henry K. Ng & Associates Consulting Engineers, Inc. (HKN) was founded in February 1987 as a locally owned structural engineering firm. Our mission is to provide consulting and design services to the local architectural community serving the El Paso/Juarez/Las Cruces area. Since its inception, HKN has grown into an engineering firm with an unequal reputation and has been awarded some of the most notable projects in the region.

Our team of professionals has a combined experience of over 50 years in the field of structural engineering. We have completed over 150 design projects for school districts in El Paso County and New Mexico, over fifty million square feet of industrial and manufacturing facilities, more than six million square feet of commercial and retail space, and projects for the University of Texas at El Paso and New Mexico State University. Some of the notable projects designed by the engineering staff of HKN include the new 10-story tower of the University Medical Center and Children's Hospital, the School of Nursing as well as the Computer Science and Chemistry Building at the University of Texas at El Paso, the 800,000 sf Wistron manufacturing facility in Juarez, Mexico, and over 1,500 housing units at Ft. Bliss, Texas.

Our philosophy is to treat each client as unique as each project entrusted to us. Therefore, we listen carefully to the needs of the client and prepare a plan to meet the goals for the project. HKN collaboratively participates with the prime designer from schematic, design development, and construction documents phases through the construction administration phase, providing consulting services and preparing construction documents that will enable the project's success within the proposed schedule and budget.

We offer a wide range of engineering services and products including building services, foundation plans, framing plans, foundation details, framing details, wall elevations, site observation, new use engineering analysis, building code compliance evaluation, risk assessment report, retrofit design, building site damage evaluation, and structural recommendations. We also provide bridge design, layout plans, foundation plans, framing plans, foundation details, framing details, material take-off, structural demolition studies, and peer review.
