Welcome to Hunters Edge Stables, the Mid-South's premier hunter/jumper facility, proudly home to the Mid-South's premier IEA equestrian team, Ole Miss Equestrian, and Rhodes College Equestrian. Our mission is to provide a fun, safe, and competitive atmosphere where riders can grow, develop, and gain confidence through their accomplishments. We offer private, semi-private, and group lessons for riders of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced riders.

At Hunters Edge, we nurture the relationship between rider and horse. After determining the skill level of the rider, we develop our training plan to meet the individual's ability and work to instill confidence while always moving forward to achieve the next level. Regardless of skill or age, we encourage and motivate our riders to reach their full potential. We participate in local shows and set goals for riders to eventually travel to out-of-town to USEF National Rated shows. We stress safety and good horsemanship practices with all of our students.

Our lesson program includes more than just how to ride; we teach our students how to care for their horse and tack. We offer full and training board, and our qualified trainers offer professional rides and training for your horse. They will help match the right mount for all levels of riders and we have horses available for sale or lease. We accept students from all backgrounds and levels. Lessons

Our lesson program is designed to meet the needs of riders of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced riders. Our trainers will work with you to develop a training plan that suits your ability and goals. We offer private, semi-private, and group lessons to ensure that each rider receives the attention and instruction they need to succeed. We focus on teaching not only how to ride but also how to care for your horse and tack.

Boarding

At Hunters Edge Stables, we offer full and training board for your horse. Our experienced staff ensures that your horse receives the highest level of care and attention. We provide a safe and welcoming environment for your horse, and our trainers are available to provide professional rides and training to help your horse reach its full potential.

Shows

Hunters Edge Stables participates in local shows and sets goals for riders to eventually travel to out-of-town to USEF National Rated shows. We stress safety and good horsemanship practices with all of our students. Our trainers will help you prepare for shows and ensure that you have a positive and rewarding experience.

Camps

Our camps are designed to provide a fun and educational experience for riders of all ages and skill levels. During our camps, riders will have the opportunity to learn new skills, improve their riding abilities, and make new friends who share their passion for horses. Our experienced staff will provide instruction and supervision throughout the camp.

Facility

Hunters Edge Stables is located at 5610 Forest Hill Irene Road in Memphis, TN, and 8998 Forest Hill Irene Road in Olive Branch, MS. Our facility features state-of-the-art equipment and amenities designed to meet the needs of both riders and horses. We have indoor and outdoor riding arenas, stalls, and pastures where your horse can graze and exercise. Our trainers and staff are dedicated to providing the highest level of care and attention to both riders and horses.

Mid-South IEA Team

Hunters Edge Stables is home to the Mid-South's premier IEA equestrian team. The Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) was established to promote and improve the quality of equestrian competition and education on a national level. Riders of all ages and skill levels are welcome to join the IEA team and participate in competitions and educational events.

Ole Miss Equestrian Club

Hunters Edge Stables is also home to the Ole Miss Equestrian Club. The University of Mississippi's equestrian club is open to students of all skill levels and provides opportunities for riders to compete, learn, and make lifelong friends. Our trainers and staff work closely with the Ole Miss Equestrian Club to ensure that riders receive the best possible instruction and support.

Rhodes College Equestrian Team

Hunters Edge Stables took on the Rhodes College Equestrian team in 2021. The Rhodes College Equestrian Team is an established club sports team at Rhodes College competing in IHSA Zone 5-Region 1. Members will participate in intercollegiate competitions intended for riders of all levels. From those in their first year of riding to students with extensive show experience, all skill levels are needed. Riders can compete in Open Equitation Flat/Fences, Intermediate Flat/Fences, Limit Flat/Fences, Walk-Trot-Canter and Walk-Trot. Members of the Rhodes Equestrian team make lifelong friends and learn the lessons of good sportsmanship and commitment. Through fundraising and barn events, shows, and lessons, members of the Rhodes equestrian team can enjoy bonding with team members. Those wishing to compete can engage in accessible showing experiences within the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association.
