One of the unique features of Oriental is its authentic forty-foot Chinese dragon, which serves as the village's mascot. Originally known as Smith's Creek, the village got its name from the founding father's wife, Rebecca Midyette, who found a name board from the sunken steam vessel the SS Oriental. Since then, Oriental has embraced its new name and identity, becoming a North Carolina destination of distinction.

Floor Plans

We offer 16 different floor plans, each beautifully designed and accented with art by local artist Frans Van Baars. Our floor plans include the Super Suite, which has two levels with living and sleeping quarters in both areas, and the Classic Loft Suite, which provides living space on the first level and sleeping on the upper level. We also offer efficiency suites that are perfect for solo travelers or couples.
