Our History

The Key Shop LLC began its journey as Northside Lock & Key in 1978, offering complete locksmith services with multiple service vans and a shop location. In 1994, we moved to a larger building on busy Dunn Avenue on the Northside of Jacksonville, and our company name was modified to Northside Lock, Key and Safe to reflect the growing safe sales we were generating. In 1999, we purchased the domain TheKeyshop.com, which was a natural fit since everyone always referred to our location as "The Key Shop". Fast forward to 2015, and our company has been passed down to the next generation(s), and we changed our name to The Key Shop, LLC to match our domain name and move our business towards technology.
