Bookworm

The BookWorm is Boulder's largest used bookstore, proudly serving the community since 1984. With over 5000 sq feet of used books, we carry a vast selection of titles across various genres, including fiction, non-fiction, mysteries, science fiction, fantasy, biographies, self-help, and many more. Our store also features a cozy in-store cafe with free Wi-Fi, where customers can relax and enjoy a hot drink or a cold bottled beverage.

In addition to our vast book collection, we also offer a range of other products, including DVDs, CDs, books on CD, Leanin Tree greeting cards, and postcards. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are always happy to help you find the perfect book or gift.

Our History

The BookWorm was founded in 1984 by Linda Peashka, who turned her passion for reading into a business. The store first opened its doors in the Diagonal Plaza and quickly grew in popularity. In 2002, the store was moved to its current location by new owners Cathy and Allen Dillie. Today, The BookWorm is a beloved institution in Boulder, known for its vast selection of used books and its welcoming atmosphere.

Frequently Asked Questions

We accept books for store credit, and you can bring in up to 2 bags or 2 boxes of books at a time. We choose books based on their condition, customer demand, and how many copies we already have on our shelves. We do not accept books that are highlighted or written in, but we are always happy to look at whatever books you bring in.
