Silver Spring Child Care Center

Silver Spring Child Care Center is a community of preschoolers, families, and educators who focus on the importance of learning through play. Founded in 1971, the center provides quality, play-based learning experiences for children of all social, economic, and cultural backgrounds. Our commitment to early childhood education is evident in our dedicated staff, who are certified in CPR and First Aid, and who continue their education annually.

Our Programs

We offer a variety of programs for children aged 2 to 5, including classes for 2-year-olds, 3-year-olds, and Pre-K. Our facilities are designed to encourage exploration and creativity, with dedicated spaces for dance, karate, and outdoor play. We believe in the importance of community and inclusiveness, and our classrooms reflect this with a focus on social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Admissions

We are licensed to care for a total of 47 children across five classrooms. Spaces fill quickly, so we recommend scheduling a tour and applying early. Our admissions process typically begins in February for the upcoming school year, and we offer priority placement to those who have already completed an application and paid the fee.
