Our story begins in 2004, when Beryl Skrocki, alongside her husband Frank, took a bold step and opened Michigan's first full-service surf shop, Sleeping Bear Surf. With three children in tow, they brought a new wave of excitement to the tiny village of Empire, nestled within the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Fast forward to today, and we're proud to celebrate over 20 years of serving the community and the surfing world.
