S D Pharmacists Association

The South Dakota Pharmacists Association (SDPhA) is a well-respected organization with a rich history that spans over 130 years. Since 1886, we have been dedicated to advocating for the pharmacy industry and serving South Dakota's pharmacists. Our members benefit from our expertise in legislation and government relations, as well as our extensive library of medical and pharmaceutical resources.

Our mission is to represent the pharmacy profession through advancing patient care, enhancing public awareness, and serving in the best interest of public health and pharmacy. We believe that a strong profession starts with strong members, which is why we provide opportunities for our members to continue their education, attend the SDPhA annual convention, participate in industry events, get involved in legislative activities, and promote the association throughout South Dakota.

Services Offered by SDPhA

At SDPhA, we offer a wide range of services to help our members succeed. Here are some of the services we provide:

• Continuing Education: We offer continuing education programs that are designed to help pharmacists stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices. Our programs are developed by experts in the field and are tailored to the needs of our members.
• Advocacy and Legislation: We represent the pharmacy profession through advocacy and legislation. We monitor issues that affect the industry and work to ensure that the voices of our members are heard. We also provide resources and tools to help our members stay informed about legislation and take action when necessary.
• Medical and Pharmaceutical Resources: We offer a library of medical and pharmaceutical resources that are designed to help pharmacists stay informed and up-to-date. Our resources include news articles, research studies, and industry reports.
• Annual Convention: We host an annual convention that brings together pharmacists from across the state. The convention features educational sessions, networking opportunities, and industry events.
• Industry Events: We participate in industry events and provide resources and tools to help our members stay informed and connected. Our events include district meetings, Prescription Take-Back Day, and more.
• Career Center: We offer a career center that connects pharmacy talent with opportunity. Our career center features job listings, career resources, and tools to help pharmacists find their next career opportunity.

A Rich History, Bright Future

The South Dakota Pharmacists Association was originally founded in 1886, and since then, we have represented the pharmacy profession through advancing patient care, enhancing public awareness, and serving in the best interest of public health and pharmacy. We are proud of our history and the contributions we have made to the industry. Today, we continue to build on our rich history by providing the resources and tools our members need to succeed.

As one of the longest-standing associations in the state, the SDPhA believes that the key to a strong profession is in its members.
