Our lead groomer, Ken, has over 38 years of experience and has worked with some of the top dog breeders and show champions. Ellen, our other groomer, has over 5 years of experience and specializes in working with small breeds and temperamental pets.

Getting Started
For many years, Potomac Animal Hospital was a large and small animal practice. In 1979, Dr. Michael Scott joined the practice and took over in December 1983. To keep up with changing demands, Dr. Scott gradually transitioned the practice into a state-of-the-art small animal practice with grooming and boarding. In 1997, we broke ground for the expansion and our first new boarders came on Thanksgiving in 1998.
