Commercial Driver Training

Commercial Driver Training, Inc. is a vocational school that has been providing courses in professional Tractor Trailer, Truck, and Bus Driving since 1961. Our curricula were developed to fill the trucking industry's need for well-trained, highly skilled drivers. The trucking industry in the USA is vast and employs millions of people, but it has few training programs of its own. This brings the need for schools like ours into focus. Our curriculum provides students with a broad base of knowledge through class sessions and practical experience to take their place in the necessary and rewarding field as a professional tractor trailer, truck, or bus driver.

Facilities and Equipment

Our facility is located at 600 Patton Avenue, West Babylon, NY. Our location consists of approximately 2700 square feet of offices, lounges, and classroom area. The school utilizes a two-acre training field for the student's skill maneuvering and off-road exercises. The school also offers a wide variety of equipment to train on. We have diesel tractors and transmissions that range from 10 to 18 gears, including manual and automatic transmissions. Our fleet includes 3 over-the-road tractors, 2 straight trucks, 2 buses, and 1 construction equipment for forklift training.

Programs

We offer a comprehensive range of courses designed to provide participants with essential knowledge and practical experience in driving. Our programs include:

• Tractor Trailer Programs: Our Tractor Trailer Programs are designed to prepare students for a promising career in truck driving. The program includes both class sessions and practical driving experience.
• Truck Programs: Our Truck Programs cover a broad range of training courses designed to teach participants the skills needed to become a well-rounded truck driver.
• Bus Programs: Our Bus Programs are available full-time on weekdays or part-time on weekends. The full-time program takes 8 weeks, while the part-time program takes 12 weeks.
• Individualized Training Courses: We offer individualized training courses, including Forklift Training, Fleet Training, and Private One-on-One Lessons.
• Entry Level Driver Training: Our Entry Level Driver Training program is designed for beginners who want to start a career in truck driving.
• Tuition Assistance: We offer tuition assistance to agencies, veterans, and those who qualify for the TFC Loan or FMCSA Drug program.

Our Kingston location is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturday to Sunday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The office is open from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
