Meadow Lake Campground is a peaceful, secluded, and clean private campground located in Iowa, offering a unique blend of outdoor adventure and relaxation. Our 70-acre campground is surrounded by green rolling hills and features a 4-acre lake, making it the perfect destination for those seeking a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Our campground features a variety of campsites, including grassy, open, shaded, and hillside sites, each with full hook-ups and stunning views of the lake and surrounding timber. We also offer a range of recreational activities, including fishing, forest exploration, and playground equipment for kids of all ages.

Our campground also features a Recreation Hall with pool tables, a saloon piano, and an outdoor entertainment deck with seating and a great view of the lake. For your convenience, we provide restrooms, hot showers, and laundry facilities, ensuring that you have everything you need to enjoy your stay. Whether you're looking to relax and unwind or explore the great outdoors, Meadow Lake Campground has something for everyone.

Our History

Meadow Lake Campground has a rich history that dates back to 1952, when Viola and Marvin Koch first envisioned a private vacation spot on their 280-acre farm. With the construction of a dam, the soggy valley was transformed into a picturesque lake surrounded by green rolling hills. Over the years, the campground has grown in popularity and size, with the addition of restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, camping hookups, and a recreation hall. Today, the Koch family tradition of country-style warm hospitality continues, with brother Harlan (Kookie) at the helm.

About Our Campground

Meadow Lake Campground is a member-only campground, with an annual fee that includes winter storage. Our campground is open from May to October, and we currently have a waiting list for the 2021 season.
