Experienced Leadership

Brian Mapel, the owner and principal engineer of BMA Construction Engineers, brings over two decades of experience in the heavy construction industry. A graduate of Santa Clara University with a BS in Civil Engineering and an MBA from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, Brian's expertise spans both the field and the office. Having served as a field engineer and field manager for renowned firms like Raisch Gradeway, Kasler, Morrison Knudsen, and Flatiron Constructors, Brian possesses a deep understanding of the practical challenges faced by contractors.

Prior to founding BMA, Brian served as Chief Engineer for Flatiron Constructors' Northern Division, where he honed his leadership and decision-making skills. As a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Institute of Steel Construction, and the Associated General Contractors, Brian actively contributes to the advancement of the construction industry.
