The Georgia Movers Association is a prominent trade organization that represents over 150 member movers across the State of Georgia. GaMA prides itself in offering services that range from local to long-distance moving, always adhering to its stringent Code of Ethics that ensures the provision of professional, reliable, and safe services at fair and reasonable prices for the Georgia moving public. The Association's mission is threefold: to advocate for the general public and professionals engaged in the moving and storage business, to provide education and information to members, and to promote goodwill and cooperation among members and the public.

GaMA welcomes all reputable moving companies operating within Georgia to become members and benefit from the Association's many offerings. Moreover, members must adhere to the Georgia Department of Motor Vehicle Safety (DMVS) regulations that ensure safe and legal vehicles, adequate levels of insurance, and quick resolutions of customer claims.

GaMA's History

The Georgia Movers Association was founded in 1936 with a vision to provide consumers with the highest quality, reputable service at a reasonable cost. GaMA checks a mover's GADMVS certificate, works compensation and liability insurance coverage, and reputation before accepting them as a new member. GaMA membership signifies a moving company's commitment to accountability and to providing the most professional and efficient service available. GaMA members use the safest equipment available and employ the most qualified employees.
