Nestled in the heart of Nichols Hills, Oklahoma, the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club has been a staple of Oklahoma City's social and recreational scene since 1911. Our club's rich history began on July 6, 1911, when a committee of 300 members signed an agreement to form the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club. Over the years, our club has grown and evolved, yet our commitment to excellence and tradition has remained unwavering.
Our History
Our club's origin dates back to July 6, 1911, when a committee of 300 members signed an agreement to form the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club. The committee attained 160 acres of land on Northwest 36th Street and Western Avenue, presently known as Crown Heights Addition. As the club's membership grew, ideas of relocation began. The developer of Nichols Hills, G.A. Nichols, had a dream of creating the "perfect" subdivision for families. Nichols believed an essential part of this new development was to centralize an excellent and prestigious golf course. Nichols consulted with Perry Duke Maxwell, who was known for designing courses that were challenging yet accommodating to all skill ranges.
Our Course
The result was a masterpiece that was constructed around nature. The 18-hole Perry Maxwell designed course is a real test of anyone's golf, with scenic views on every hole that challenge and accommodate players of all skill levels. Our golf course is a true gem of the Oklahoma City golf community.
Membership
Membership in the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club is by invitation and nominees are subject to approval by the Membership Committee and the Board of Directors. Membership privileges are granted to the member, the member's spouse, and, children under the age of 26. Our club offers a range of membership options to fit your lifestyle, including Stock Memberships, Executive Memberships, Junior Golf Memberships, Social Certificate Memberships, Junior Social Memberships, and Corporate Memberships.
