Tree City Preschool

Tree City Preschool is a high-quality early childhood education center that has been serving the Kent community since 1967. Our mission is to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the emotional, intellectual, physical, spiritual, and social development of children ages three to five. We are a ministry of the United Methodist Church of Kent and are licensed by the State of Ohio under the Department of Job and Family Services.

Our History

Tree City Preschool was first opened in the fall of 1967 to provide quality educational experiences to three, four, and five year old children in the community. Over the years, we have remained committed to our mission and have continued to grow and evolve to meet the changing needs of our students and their families.

Our Services

We offer a range of classes and programs designed to meet the unique needs of children ages three to five. Our classes are led by experienced and dedicated teachers who hold a minimum of a B.A. or B.S. degree and maintain a teacher/student ratio well below the state requirements. Our facility is handicapped accessible and includes a fenced playground and a full-size gymnasium.

We offer five class options for each age group, including morning and afternoon classes, as well as extended day options. Our classes are designed to be engaging and interactive, with a focus on promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development. We also provide a nutritious snack and lunch program for our students.

Our facility is designed to provide a safe and stimulating environment for our students. Our classrooms are well-equipped with age-appropriate materials and equipment, and our playground and gymnasium provide ample opportunities for physical activity and socialization.

Our Team

Our team of experienced and dedicated teachers and staff are committed to providing a high-quality educational experience for our students. Our teachers hold a minimum of a B.A. or B.S. degree and are certified in early childhood education. Our staff are trained in first aid and CPR, and we maintain a low teacher/student ratio to ensure that each child receives individualized attention and care.
