Upstate Community Acupuncture has been proudly serving the Capital District for over twenty years, providing affordable and effective acupuncture treatments to the community. Our centrally located Latham office makes it easier than ever for you to experience the benefits of acupuncture. Our mission is to offer accessible and affordable acupuncture care to all residents of the Capital District.

At Upstate Community Acupuncture, we provide acupuncture treatments for a wide range of conditions. Our experienced and skilled practitioners can help you find relief from physical and mental stress, as well as improve your overall health and well-being. Some of the conditions we treat include:

Acupuncture is a drug-free and natural way to ease your mind, calm your body, and improve your health. Our treatments are performed in a quiet, semi-private, community setting. Each appointment is one hour long, giving you ample time to relax and receive the full benefits of acupuncture.

Affordable and Accessible Acupuncture

We believe that acupuncture should be accessible and affordable to everyone. That's why we offer a sliding fee scale ($35-$60 for new patients) that allows you to pay what you can afford. This way, you can receive the number of treatments needed to get the maximum benefit from acupuncture treatment. Medical Reimbursement Accounts can also be used for payment.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept Medicare, private insurance, automobile no fault, workers compensation, or VA reimbursement because of our affordable sliding fee scale. If you are sick or running very late, please call the office before arriving. Cancellations due to sickness will not incur a missed appointment fee.

Eric Renaud has been a licensed acupuncturist for over twenty years and has successfully treated many patients for a wide variety of conditions. He graduated with a Masters Degree in Acupuncture from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute in 2000 and has since become a nationally board certified (NCCAOM) and licensed acupuncturist in New York State.

Eric has continuously studied with several prominent teachers to improve his acupuncture skills. He is currently a seasoned practitioner of Master Tung's acupuncture, mentored by Susan Johnson, L.Ac. Master Tung's acupuncture provides quick and long-lasting relief for a variety of hard-to-treat conditions. In September 2019, Eric and Susan Johnson published their first book, Master Tung's Magic Points: A Definitive Clinical Guide.
