Fuzion Hair Design

Fuzion Hair Design was founded by three friends, Jody Sitton, Denice Polemides, and Anne Wagner, on the idea that quality hair services don't have to come with a super high price tag or a snooty attitude. In August 2006, they opened the salon in historic downtown Waxhaw, North Carolina. At Fuzion, most of the stylists have been in the beauty industry for 20 or more years. Ongoing education is a very important part of the job description. The salon supports their stylists in attending hair shows and classes, as well as bringing educators into the salon to make sure that their hair designers stay up to date on the latest styles, techniques, and advances in hair and skin products. Located in historic downtown Waxhaw, North Carolina, Fuzion Hair Design has a friendly atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. Clients are invited to have a cup of coffee or tea, and often curl up on our comfortable chairs to read a current magazine while their hair processes. If you can't seem to leave work behind, we have free WiFi, and a great computer desk that lets you type away on your laptop while you wait. Men tell us they enjoy coming to our salon as well since the decor is very modern and clean - without the "frou-frou" stuff that makes them nervous!

Our Team

Jody Cummings Sitton, a native New Yorker, has always known she wanted to be in the beauty industry. She started as a nail tech, then worked at a large beauty supply house in the retail as well as warehouse sides. She attended cosmetology school in NY, and while she never stopped doing hair, she has also worked for Lancome cosmetics, and as an assistant manager at Macy's. One of her favorite things to do is color, especially corrective color, as well as gorgeous blondes, brunettes, and auburns. Everything from natural lived-in color to wild vivids! Jody will really listen to her clients and won't force anyone into that big change if they aren't ready. Her chair is a judgement-free zone, and anyone from any lifestyle is welcome. Being a horse mom, you are welcome to show up in barn clothes, messy hair, and you never should feel like you aren't fancy enough to come sit in her chair! Jody has been a cosmetologist since 1992 and still loves her profession! Jody lives in Mineral Springs with her 2 teenage daughters, their horses, and lots of critters on their little homestead.

Denice Polemides began her cosmetology training in East Meadow, NY. After working her way up from shampoo girl to stylist, she worked on Long Island for several years before moving to NC with her family. Once in NC, she opened her own salon in Matthews, which she sold after the birth of her first child. Wanting to be closer to her children, Denice began working at a salon in Weddington, where she stayed for three years. The latest development in her life is as co-owner of FUZION Hair Design. Denice has 20 years experience in cuts, color, highlights, and special occasion styles. She lives in Weddington with her husband and three children.

Anne Wagner has 25 years experience, beginning her career in Bergen County, New Jersey. Along with her husband Kevin, they relocated to Orlando, Florida. 17 years and two children later, daughters Shannon and Caitlin are now grown and pursuing their own careers.
