Our History

Established in 1939, East Haven Memorial Funeral Home is a cherished institution deeply rooted in the heart of the East Haven community. Since its inception, our funeral home has been dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized funeral services to families during their time of need. We are immensely proud of our longstanding legacy, born from the vision of founder Salvatore Longobardi, who, after working alongside his father Dominic in New Haven, brought his expertise and unwavering dedication to East Haven.

His daughter, Josephine (Joann) Longobardi-Brennan, joined the family business, continuing the tradition of providing exceptional care and support. Over the years, the business was passed down to her grandsons, David S. Brennan and James Brennan, who carried the torch, upholding the values of integrity, empathy, and personalized service that had been established generations earlier.

After almost four decades of dedicated service, David S. Brennan retired in early 2022. He left behind a legacy of unparalleled service, and the mantle of leadership was then passed to the skilled and compassionate hands of Joseph E. Deko and James P. Integlia, who continue to ensure that East Haven Memorial remains a beacon of comfort and support for grieving families.
