Our Story
Ingo Kerl, the owner and operator of Cavalier Lock, moved to Charlottesville in 1972 and attended local schools. He later attended Piedmont Virginia Community College, earning a Criminal Justice Degree with honors. Ingo served his country proudly in the United States Navy and began his locksmithing career in 1984. After a 10-year stint in sales, Ingo returned to locksmithing and security, working for another well-known Charlottesville business before establishing Cavalier Lock in 2004.
