MXI is a family-owned business that started as Maumee Express Inc., a local drayage company operating in the New York commercial zone in 1960. The company evolved from humble beginnings into a prospering over-the-road success and now operates as three distinct but interconnected companies: Maumee Express, MXI Environmental Services, and Dynamic Recycling.

Waste Transportation Services

As a nationally permitted waste transporter, MXI provides reliable and safe transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams from facilities or generator sites to approved disposal facilities. With a fleet of permitted vehicles, network of terminals, and highly trained personnel, we ensure our customers receive specialized waste management services tailored to meet their unique requirements.

Environmental Services

MXI Environmental Services offers a wide range of environmental services, including the operation of a Materials Recovery Facility, an Ethanol Recycling facility, and a Latex Paint Recycling Facility. Household Hazardous Waste Collections

MXI is a premier service provider for household hazardous waste collection events sponsored by states, counties, and municipalities. As a trusted partner for hundreds of county and municipal customers in 20 states, MXI organizes and executes several hundred 'collection events' that remove hazardous waste, improving safety and quality of life for thousands of citizens.

Latex Paint Recycling

MXI's latex paint recycling facility converts post-consumer latex paint into world-class coatings, offering an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional disposal methods. By reusing and repurposing paint, we help reduce waste, conserve resources, and promote sustainable practices.

Our Heritage

MXI's history is deeply rooted in the transportation industry. Maumee Express was founded in 1960 as a local drayage company operating in the New York commercial zone. Over the years, the company grew and expanded, acquiring permits to transport hazardous waste in most of the United States. In the late 1990s, MXI Environmental Services began focusing on recycling various types of solid and hazardous waste at a Materials Recovery Facility. In 2004, Dynamic Recycling was added, further strengthening our commitment to sustainable waste management.
