At Harman-Rohde Funeral Home, we have been serving Doniphan County with care and attention to detail for over 150 years. We are a family-owned and operated full-service funeral home dedicated to providing compassionate support to families during their time of need.

Our Story

Our journey began in 1866 when Peter Miller, a 32-year-old man from Luxembourg, Germany, started a funeral home and furniture store in Wathena, Kansas. Over the years, the business changed hands several times until it was purchased by Charles and Melba Harman in 1951. The Harmans operated the funeral home, known as the Harman Mortuary, until Charles' death in 1977. After several more changes in ownership, Paul and Dawnelle Rohde took over the funeral home in 1984 and renamed it Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in 1989.

Throughout our history, we have been committed to providing exceptional service to the families of Doniphan County. Our Locations

We are located at 310 Fremont Street in Wathena, Kansas. Our funeral home is equipped with modern facilities designed to provide a comfortable and peaceful environment for families to gather and celebrate the life of their loved one.

Our Calendar

We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist families with their funeral needs. Our staff is always ready to provide support and guidance whenever it is needed.
