Glades Crop Care, Inc. (GCC) is a distinguished independent research and agricultural consulting firm headquartered in Jupiter, Florida. Established in 1972 by Madeline Mellinger, GCC has grown to become one of the nation's largest independent crop consulting firms, renowned for its innovative pest and disease management programs. Our company is committed to providing the highest standard of quality and professional service to our grower clientele, with our crop consulting setting the industry benchmark.

Our History

Incorporated in 1972, Glades Crop Care, Inc. has been providing IPM (integrated pest management) services for over 65,000 acres of farmland. Our expertise spans more than 60 fresh vegetable crops, as well as citrus, rice, and sugarcane acreage, primarily grown in Florida's unique subtropical climate. This climate presents intensive insect, disease, and nematode management challenges that we have successfully confronted for nearly half a century.

GCC has maintained its independence and private ownership throughout our history, ensuring that our recommendations remain unbiased and focused on our clients' best interests. We have fostered long-term relationships with our clients, with two clients relying on our services for the past 50 years and over 30 clients entrusting us for more than a decade. In 2021, an impressive 83.3% of our clients renewed their contracts with us, demonstrating their satisfaction with our services.

Our Team

Our current team members hold or have previously served on more than 20 board positions in various agriculture-related organizations. Their expertise has been recognized with over 25 awards for excellence in the agriculture industry. In 1992, our founder, Madeline Mellinger, helped create the Foundation of Environmental Agriculture Education and remains actively involved in the organization.
