Whether that's as a hobbyist, gigging musician, full-time pro, soundman, producer - you name it. We provide a positive place for people to explore their interests and express themselves creatively.

Our Philosophy

Our music school is located less than 75 miles from Manhattan in Orange County, in the historic downtown of Walden, New York. We are one of the top-rated music schools in the Hudson Valley, located right at its heart! Based on the philosophy that the best way to learn music is to make it, the school is a welcoming spot for aspiring musicians of all ages to learn, compose, and share music; where the unique talents and interests of every individual are recognized, fostered, and encouraged.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services to cater to the diverse needs of our students. Our services include private lessons, ensemble classes, summer workshops, seminars, seasonal programs, masterclasses, and more for everyone from beginners to lifelong learners. We also offer a modest selection of quality music equipment, accessories, sheet music, and lesson books for sale. Our goal is to create a supportive musical community where students can learn, grow, and thrive.

Our Story

Meet Tim and Rosie Porco, two musicians who met at a music club in 2010. It was love from the first measure. They started a band called Tanager and quickly proceeded to book opening slots for musical acts including Pete Seeger, Adam Levy, and Jim Campilongo. Five years later, they got married in a ceremony officiated by their bass player, overlooking the seat of Americana music, Woodstock, New York. Amy Helm & the Handsome Strangers were the wedding band. Two years later, the couple bought a music school in Walden, New York. They are living happily ever after!
