Our Mission and History

Ascend Performing Arts is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to elevating life performance through the pursuit of excellence. With a rich history dating back to 1958, we have grown to become a multi-faceted, youth performing arts organization. Our mission is to further the education and growth of young people through participation in high-caliber performing arts programs that promote teamwork and discipline, develop leadership skills, and enhance self-esteem.

Our Education Program

Our education program is designed to provide young people with a comprehensive education in the arts. We offer a range of programs and services that cater to students of all ages and skill levels. Our programs are designed to be engaging, challenging, and fun, with a focus on building confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills. Our education program includes music education, ensemble performance, and educational outreach in grade school, middle school, and high schools.

Our Ensembles

Ascend Performing Arts is proud to offer a range of ensembles that cater to students of all ages and skill levels. Our ensembles include the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps, the Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble, and the Blue Knights Winds. Our ensembles are designed to provide students with a unique opportunity to develop their skills and perform at a high level.

Our Events

Ascend Performing Arts hosts a range of events throughout the year, including the Drums Along the Rockies, the Encore, and the DCI (Drum Corps International) Tickets. Our events are designed to be engaging, entertaining, and educational, with a focus on showcasing the talents of our students and promoting the value of performing arts education.
