Scuba Diving Courses

At Dive Santa Barbara, we offer a wide variety of scuba diving courses suited for beginners and experienced divers. Our courses are limited to approximately 4 divers per class, ensuring that you receive the safest and highest quality instruction, and an overall improved experience. Here are some of the courses we offer:

• Basic Open Water: This PADI Open Water Diver Course is the most popular and recognized diver course globally. You'll learn about scuba diving fundamentals, equipment, and techniques. Our courses include learning skills in the pool/confined open water, followed by four open-water dives in the ocean. Our public courses consist of one beach dive and three boat dives at the Channel Islands Marine Sanctuary for the best possible dive conditions and wildlife viewing.
• Advanced Open Water: Our Advanced Open Water Course consists of five adventure dives, including deep, navigation, night, and buoyancy control. This course will help you develop your skills and confidence as a diver, and it will broaden your experience level.
• Rescue Diver: Our Rescue Diver Course is designed to teach you how to prevent and manage problems in the water. This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively respond to emergencies and be a confident diver.
• Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox): This course will teach you how to safely and effectively use enriched air nitrox mixtures for increased dive times and shorter surface intervals.
• Divemaster: Our Divemaster Course is designed for those who want to turn their passion for diving into a career. This course will teach you the skills and knowledge necessary to lead and supervise scuba diving activities, and manage diving-related operations.
