Our story began with the founder, Kevin Massie, who started his journey in home improvement as a child, assisting his DIY-loving parents with various projects. This early exposure ignited a passion for building and construction. Kevin went on to earn a degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech and gained experience in the field as a consulting engineer. However, his desire to return to construction led him to start Blue Fox Carpentry.

Kevin's experience in construction management, including a challenging project in Sudan using compressed earth blocks, and his professional engineering background, make him uniquely qualified to oversee even the most complex projects.
