Welcome to Self-Healing Hypnosis, a business dedicated to helping people make positive changes in their lives. Our services are designed to facilitate gentle and subtle transformations that enable individuals to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives. We believe in the power of self-healing and view ourselves as facilitators who support our clients in resolving their own issues.

Our founder, Shari Hartz, MA, CHT, has been passionate about hypnosis since the late 80s when her stepmother was struggling with cancer. Shari's desire to help her stepmother led her to participate in a program that used hypnosis to help people experiencing life-changing illnesses. Although the cancer support program never came to fruition, Shari's interest in hypnosis was sparked, and she went on to pursue extensive training in this field.

Shari has completed over 2000 hours of training in hypnosis, including attending the Denver School of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy, Day of Miracles School of Hypnotherapy, and America's Academy for Coaching, Counseling, and Hypnotherapy. She also holds a master's degree in communication and a bachelor's degree in psychology and communication from the University of Colorado at Denver. Shari's well-rounded education and experience enable her to effectively relate to and motivate her clients.

Our Services

At Self-Healing Hypnosis, we offer a variety of services designed to help individuals make positive changes in their lives. Our services include:

  • Group sessions for both smoking cessation and weight loss (Virtual Gastric Band). Our weight loss program focuses on helping individuals make healthier decisions around food, exercise, and creating a positive relationship with their body and food. Our smoking cessation program enables individuals to stop smoking in a healthy and relaxing way, avoiding withdrawal symptoms and cravings.
  • Pain management. We use hypnosis to teach individuals some basic procedures of self-hypnosis that they can practice and take control of their lives.
  • Fears and phobias. We use hypnosis to help individuals overcome their fears and phobias gently and subtly.

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that we experience in everyday living, such as when we become engrossed in a novel or motion picture. Hypnosis becomes powerful when used very intentionally, whether for self-hypnosis or with the support of a hypnotist. Hypnosis can be used to make behavior changes, but it can also be used to make mental changes, which is what makes those changes in a person's experience.

The Term Self-Healing

The term self-healing relates to the person's ability to help themselves. As a hypnotist, we view ourselves as a facilitator, supporting the client in resolving their own issues using the tools of hypnosis to facilitate changes in the client's experience.
