Protecting What Matters Most, One Policy at a Time.
The Reiki Share Project is driven by a deep commitment to make the healing power of Reiki accessible to a wider community. We believe in the transformative potential of Reiki, not just as a complementary therapy but as a vital tool for promoting health, well-being, and balance in the lives of individuals facing various challenges. We focus our efforts on providing Reiki classes to individuals and caregivers navigating serious illness, disability, or trauma. Through our structured programs and community outreach, we aim to empower recipients, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to engage in their own healing journey.
Our Vision: Integrating Reiki into the Fabric of Well-Being
We envision a future where Reiki is not just a specialized practice but an integral part of healthcare systems and community-based organizations. We strive to be a leading innovator in integrating Reiki into mainstream wellness, breaking down traditional barriers and making this accessible healing modality readily available to those who seek it.
Our goal is to foster a supportive and compassionate community built on the shared principles of Reiki, where individuals find strength, solace, and empowerment through this ancient practice. We believe that by embracing Reiki's universal energy, we can collectively cultivate a world where healing and well-being are shared experiences.
The Founding Spirit: Jane Van De Velde's Passion and Expertise
The Reiki Share Project was founded by Jane Van De Velde, a registered nurse with a deep commitment to holistic healing. Mrs. Van De Velde's extensive background in geriatrics, home care, hospice, and program management, coupled with her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Rush University in Chicago, has provided her with a unique perspective on the complexities of healthcare.
Her personal journey with Reiki began in 2003, igniting a passion that led her to become a Reiki Master Teacher. Over the years, she has honed her skills through private sessions, curriculum development, all-level Reiki teaching, volunteer work, and community presentations. Driven by the profound impact of Reiki, she established The Reiki Share Project as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to share this healing modality with a wider community and within healthcare settings.
A Dedicated Board and Master Teachers
The Reiki Share Project is guided by a committed board of directors, each member bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to our mission. Mrs. Van De Velde, with her extensive background in healthcare and Reiki practice, serves as President. Other board members contribute their diverse skills and backgrounds to ensure the organization's success.
Our Reiki classes are entrusted to experienced Reiki Master Teachers who embody the core principles of the practice. These dedicated individuals actively share their knowledge and expertise through private sessions, teaching all levels of Reiki classes, volunteering within communities and healthcare organizations, and exploring other healing modalities. Our Master Teachers are not only skilled practitioners but also committed to self-care, ensuring that they live and exemplify the principles they teach.
