Our Story

Laface & Mcgovern has been a leader in the lighting and lighting controls industry for 45 years. Founded in 1976 by Harry McGovern and Gene LaFace, the agency was established to not only sell lighting products and controls, but to also meet the ever-present challenges associated with lighting projects and promoting new technologies. Our constant goal is to represent the very best manufacturers, employ the best professionals in the market, and to provide a superior customer service experience.

In 2010, Laface & Mcgovern expanded its reach by acquiring the Lighting Sales Associates Inc agency in Huntington, West Virginia. This addition to the company allowed us to serve a larger area, including West Virginia, Southern Ohio, and Eastern Kentucky.

What We Do

At Laface & Mcgovern, we focus on understanding the lighting system needs of our clients, who range from large scale industrial and corporate enterprises to small startup businesses and residential clients. Our goal is to provide the latest in LED and conventional lighting solutions for both indoor and outdoor applications. With a full spectrum of commercial LED lighting, lighting control products, and lighting services, we serve customers in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio.

Our experienced professionals are knowledgeable in the latest energy savings products and serve both the commodity and specification markets. We are positioned to offer products and services to every area of the lighting market we serve. Our Specialty Lighting Division, formed in 1990, serves the Stage and Studio markets for both LED Lighting and Dimming needs. Television, theatrical and architectural dimming projects are the primary focus of this division.

We have experienced professionals offering a full spectrum of LED lighting and control products solutions for any size business or residential application in these areas. Our History

Our market coverage of Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia is achieved by the combined efforts of our outside and inside sales force. Our scope of products serves both the commodity and specification markets, as well as, the latest in energy savings products. L&M is positioned to offer products and services to every area of the lighting market we serve.

In 1990, our Specialty Lighting Division was formed to serve the Stage and Studio markets for both LED Lighting and Dimming needs. Television, theatrical and architectural dimming projects are the primary focus of this division. Our Lighting Controls Division was established in November of 2001, further expanding our expertise in the lighting industry.
