Our Beginning

Our story begins in the heart of Minnesota, with Brett Yerks, a man deeply rooted in family and fueled by a passion for craftsmanship. Brett's journey, however, started not with woodworking but with the world of technology. With a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, he carved a successful path, founding Yerkotech Computer Solutions, an I.T. services company committed to integrity and honesty. Yerkotech thrived, a testament to Brett and his wife Lindsay's dedication and faith, but the demanding nature of the tech industry began to weigh on them, especially with a growing family. Yearning for a more balanced life, Brett felt a calling towards his long-standing love of woodworking.

In 2012, guided by a desire for quality family time and a yearning to pursue his passion, Brett sold Yerkotech. The garage transformed into his workshop, a space filled with the fragrant aroma of wood and the satisfying hum of tools. With hands skilled by years of engineering and heart guided by passion, Brett built a magnificent dining table for his ever-expanding family. The table's success not only brought joy to his loved ones but also sparked a fire within him, igniting the dream of Minnesota Farmhouse.

The first Minnesota Farmhouse dining table found a loving home in 2013. With each creation, Brett poured his heart and soul, meticulously crafting pieces that blended rustic charm with enduring elegance. Theirs was a story of faith, family, and a love for the craft.
