Our drivers undergo pre-employment screening, safety training, and drug testing before being hired. Once they join our team, they are updated daily on safety issues and participate in monthly safety video reviews and quarterly safety meetings. We maintain an open door policy where drivers and management can freely discuss safety and other related issues.

We understand the importance of a balanced work-life for our drivers. We strive to ensure that our drivers have generous home time, allowing them to spend quality time with their families. Our commitment to our drivers' well-being is unwavering, and we believe that our drivers are an integral part of our family.

Services We Offer

At Protected Cargo Transport, we primarily operate a curtain-side fleet with 48' and 53' trailers. These trailers enable us to quickly and safely move short mileage loads. Our trucks can load and secure cargo in a third of the time required for a regular flatbed, ensuring that the load is on the road quicker to the consignee. We service LA, AR, MS, AL, and East Texas with trucks crisscrossing these states all week long.

In addition to our curtain-side fleet, we also run standard 48' and 53' flatbed trailers. These are used to haul commodities and products that are less suitable for curtain-side trailers. All of our flatbed trailers are equipped with tarps and operate in the same areas as the curtain-side trailers.

Some of the primary commodities we haul include softwood lumber, hardwood lumber, plywood, OSB, veneer, roofing/siding material, LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber), palletized goods, railroad wheels, railroad parts used in manufacturing of rail cars, oilfield valves and supplies, pipe, steel, utility high-line supplies, and more. We are always eager to hear from established and potential customers regarding their present and future transportation needs.

At Protected Cargo Transport, we value our employees and owner-operators. We believe in fostering a family atmosphere for everyone involved in our business. We offer short haul, regional, and long haul positions with generous home time, percentage pay, sign-on pay, and referral pay. For our owner-operators, we offer 80% of line haul, 100% of fuel surcharge, in-house repair/service shop, fuel, tires, parts and labor discounts, paid liability and cargo insurance, trailer rental, and in-house trailer dealership for trailer purchase. Additionally, we offer W/C, P/D, bobtail, and medical insurance for our drivers.
