Ballet Arkansas

Ballet Arkansas is a renowned ballet company that has been a cornerstone of the Little Rock arts scene for over 45 years. Founded in 1966 as the Little Rock Civic Ballet, the organization has evolved over the years to become the only professional ballet company in Little Rock and the state's official ballet company. Under the visionary leadership of Michael and Catherine Fothergill, Ballet Arkansas has grown to be ranked among the Top 100 Ballet Companies in America.

Our company of 16 dancers presents a diverse repertoire of classical ballets, American dance masterworks, and premieres by world-renowned choreographers to an audience of nearly 50,000 annually. We also have a strong broadcast reach, with patrons in all 50 states and 24 countries.

Beyond our performances, Ballet Arkansas is deeply committed to dance education. Our School for Dance offers exceptional training to children and adults of all backgrounds, and our K-12 outreach programs reach over 10,000 students each year. We also feature a Community Cast in our productions, providing opportunities for local dancers to participate alongside our professional company.
