Statz, the company began as Statz & Harrop Painting, specializing in residential painting services. Driven by a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, Statz Painting expanded its capabilities over the years, venturing into steel stud framing and drywall installation in the mid-1970s. This expansion led to significant milestones, including the completion of West and East Towne Malls in Madison, WI, as steel stud and drywall contractors.

In 1996, the company further refined its focus, splitting into two distinct divisions: Statz Painting & Decorating and Statz Steel Stud & Drywall. Under the vision and leadership of Larry G. Statz and Michael Statz, Statz Painting & Decorating concentrated solely on its core strengths in painting and decorating, establishing itself as a leader in providing exceptional residential and commercial painting solutions.
