Avalon Yacht Club

The Avalon Yacht Club is situated on the Intracoastal Waterway, just south of Townsend's Inlet, providing a picturesque backdrop for its members and their guests to enjoy various activities both on and off the water. Our Clubhouse offers fine dining as well as a casual grill room for members, and it's also available for private events and weddings. We offer a range of activities, including sailing lessons for youth and adults, sailing regattas for all ages, women's auxiliary activities, weekly entertainment, and many other exciting events throughout the year.

Sailing

Avalon Yacht Club offers a variety of sailing events and racing series for adults and juniors. We sail a range of boats including the Optimist, Sunfish, Laser, Club 420, and a small number of offshore keelboats. In addition to the club-level events, we host three invitational events, including the Avalon MAYRA Regatta, Avalon Yacht Club Juniors Regatta, and the Avalon Cup Offshore Race. Whether you're a seasoned sailor or just starting out, we have something for everyone.
