Welcome to Pain and Wonder Tattoo and Body Piercing, a studio deeply rooted in the Athens, GA community. Our story began in the mid-1990s when an artist from our shop bravely stood up against a county-wide ban on tattoo shops, leading to a dramatic public demonstration. After the artist's swift arrest and the subsequent lifting of the ban, Pain and Wonder was established in 1995. Over the years, our studio has gone through changes in ownership, but our core values remain the same. We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming environment for our patrons while fostering artistic development for all practitioners.
