Leave your pet's care to us - your pets are in good company!

At MoFi, we believe in a financial system that works for everyone. We provide loans to people who can't get the money they need from banks and credit unions. Our team is dedicated to finding solutions to get to "yes" when others have said "no". We offer a wide range of loan options tailored to your needs, including business loans, home loans, and tax credit loans.

Our Mission

MoFi provides financing and consulting that transforms lives and communities. We are primarily a small business lender, providing loans to disadvantaged entrepreneurs and business owners. We help people who lack the assets, income, experience, and/or credit history to qualify for bank financing. Our goal is to provide clients with access to capital, paired with free, comprehensive business training, to help them build successful businesses, achieve financial sustainability, and establish a long-term relationship with a bank.

Our Services

We offer a variety of loan options to fit your needs. Our business loan program provides financing to small businesses, including start-ups and expanding businesses. Our home loan program offers down payment assistance and home repair loans to help you achieve your dream of homeownership. Our tax credit loan program provides New Market Tax Credit financing for large-scale investment projects.

In addition to our loan programs, we also offer free, top-notch business consulting services to help you grow and succeed. Our team of experts can provide guidance on accounting, marketing, legal services, and more.

Our History

MoFi was founded in 1986 as a project of Women's Opportunity and Resource Development (WORD), a nonprofit formed to improve the lives of poor women in the Missoula area. Over the years, we have evolved and grown, expanding our services and scope to include affordable housing solutions and New Market Tax Credit financing. Today, we operate across Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Eastern Washington, and Eastern Oregon, with offices in Missoula, Bozeman, Boise, and Salt Lake City.
