Triple Play Academy

Welcome to Triple Play Academy, Montana's premier indoor baseball and softball training facility. Our state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to providing a safe and fun environment for athletes of all ages and skill levels to develop their skills and reach their full potential.

Our History and Mission

Triple Play Academy is owned and operated by Billings American Legion Baseball, and our mission is to provide a first-class, professionally-equipped, and soundly managed indoor training facility that enables the softball and baseball student-athletes of the Billings community and surrounding areas to develop their skills in a safe and fun environment. Our goal is to increase the number and quality of college scholarships offered to local athletes as a result of the improvement in skills afforded by the Academy.

Our Services

At Triple Play Academy, we offer a wide range of services to cater to the needs of baseball and softball players of all ages and skill levels. Our facilities include five 50-foot batting cages, a four-mound pitching-catching area, a large open area for playing catch and defensive drills, a full weight room, and a video room with state-of-the-art video recording system called RightView Pro. This system allows coaches to capture and analyze swings and pitching motions and compare them side by side to MLB Baseball Players.

We offer memberships for families and for Legion and non-Legion ballplayers of all ages, as well as team rental, walk-in use, birthday parties, and individual instruction. Our experienced instructors provide personalized instruction, group, and team instruction, focusing on hitting, fielding, and pitching. We also offer camps, spring/summer academy, fall instruction, and one-on-one instruction to help players improve their skills and take their game to the next level.

Our Facilities

Our facility is open seven days a week, and our hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, and Sunday closed. We have a calendar of events that includes tryouts, camps, and other activities, and we encourage you to check it out to stay up to date with what's happening at Triple Play Academy.
