Pelican Lake Sailing School

Welcome to Pelican Lake Yacht Club (PLYC), a premier sailing destination on Pelican Lake. Established in 1967, our mission is to promote safe and fun sailing on Pelican Lake, provide social events and activities, and operate the PLYC Club House and sailboat moorings.

Our History

PLYC was founded with a vision to create a community of sailing enthusiasts who share a passion for the sport. Over the years, we have grown to become a leading sailing club in the region, offering a range of services and programs for sailors of all levels. From youth sailing lessons to adult racing, we have something for everyone.

Our Services

At PLYC, we offer a range of services designed to meet the needs of our members. Our sailing school, Pelican Lake Sailing School (PLSS), provides instruction and training boats for members. We also offer sailboat moorings, club membership, and racing programs. Our club membership fees are affordable, and we appreciate the support of our members, volunteers, and donors.

Our Programs

Our sailing school offers lessons for youth and adults, taught by experienced and certified instructors. Our youth sailing program is designed to teach kids the skills and knowledge they need to become confident sailors. We also offer adult lessons, racing programs, and social events throughout the year. Our annual regatta, held on the last weekend in July, is a highlight of our sailing calendar.
