Meet the Blue Star Crew

Our team is led by Cher Walker, who monitors safety guidelines, safety protocols, and employee qualifications. Cher has a bachelor's degree from the University of New Orleans in Marketing and a Masters of Science degree from McNeese State University in Exercise Physiology. Cher is an avid scuba diver and boater and is a member of the Professional Association of Scuba Divers (PADI) as a Master Scuba Diver Trainer, a First Aid and CPR Instructor, and an American Red Cross Lifeguard Trainer. She is also a member of the Lake Charles Sail and Power Squadron serving on the public relations and boating activities committee. She is a former member of the NOAA Sanctuary Advisory Council serving the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary. Also, as a Platinum Dealer for Scuba Pro, Cher is a member of the Advisory Council.

The Blue Star Fleet

Our fleet consists of several vessels, each designed to meet specific needs and operations. These include:

• Shipstores: A 65' custom build deck boat for transporting shipstores inshore.
• Blue Star: A 45' custom built vessel which lends itself for inshore and offshore launches. USCG certified and inspected for 16 passengers.
• Calcasieu Express: A 44' foot deck boat for inshore deliveries and personnel transport for up to 6 passengers.
• Cameron Express: A 50' foot deck boat equipped with a 5-ton IMT deck crane to support multiple operations, including ship stores, salvage, and environmental response.

Lay-Down Yard in Cameron, LA

The newest of our lay-down yards, our Cameron site is in the process of being completed to better service our clients. The 1-acre lay-down yard features a 70' Crane pad to help get your shipments quicker while providing Cameron a strategic investment site.
