Our History

Maxway Inc was founded in 1967 by Merrill Maxfield. Maxway started with humble beginnings with Merrill being awarded his first postal contract running mail from Salt Lake City, Utah to Butte, Montana. From those humble beginnings, Maxway Inc has grown to service over 21 HCR's for the United State Postal Service in 5 Western States.

As Maxway grew and routes were added, Merrill's son, Kevin Maxfield, was added to the team. Kevin came to the team with his financial expertise and bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University. Kevin serves as the President and CEO of Maxway Inc and has been extensively involved with LTL freight and Postal contracts for over 38 years now.

In his retirement, Merrill enjoys restoring old Yellowstone buses. In 2000 Merrill retired, and his other son, Blake Maxfield, joined the Maxway team. Blake brought his expertise to the team as well as his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and his Masters in Business Administration from Westminster College. Blake is currently serves as the Vice President.

In 2002, Maxway expanded to Maxway Freight LLC. Maxway Freight provides specialized freight services in 7 Western States.
