McKinnon Associates is a landscape architecture company that designs gardens to bring beauty and balance into the everyday lives of our clients. The Process

Our process is designed to ensure that every project meets the unique needs of our clients. We use a three-phase approach: Phase One - Conceptual Design, Phase Two - Construction Drawings, and Phase Three - Construction Implementation. The design process begins with an extensive client consultation, where we establish a list of program elements to be included in the design. These elements will meet both the functional and aesthetic needs of the project. Throughout the process, we incorporate our expertise in horticulture, masonry, stonework, carpentry, and specialized services like fountain, irrigation, drainage, and lighting design to ensure a comprehensive solution.

Mark McKinnon, ASLA, leads our team with his extensive experience in landscape architecture and construction. He is supported by a team of professionals with expertise in various aspects of landscape design, construction, and maintenance. Our crews include craftsmen experienced in all types of masonry, stonework, and carpentry, as well as personnel experienced in fountain, irrigation, drainage, and lighting design and installation. This diverse team enables us to offer complete services for projects of all sizes and scope.
