*Site Prep: Before excavating, pouring foundation, or starting on the construction of a project, there are a number of steps that must be taken. Demolition, clearing & brush-cutting, grading, and lawn re-sloping are all crucial steps that help to ensure the success of your project. Our team of experts can handle all aspects of site prep, from demolition to grading, to help you get your project off the ground.

*Demolition: Demolition can include anything from small structures like fences and sheds to larger projects like houses. All objects must be safely dismantled, hauled away, and disposed of. Some materials may be salvageable if properly removed. Our team can handle all aspects of demolition, ensuring that the site is safe and ready for the next phase of the project.

*Clearing & Brush-Cutting: Clearing is the removal of light vegetation and brush-cutting, and can include some tree and stump removal, as well as work in more heavily forested areas. Some trees and areas of vegetation can be kept untouched to create an appealing landscape. For information about selling timber, we recommend contacting a forestry professional or logging service.

*Grading: Grading uses the Cut & Fill method to move dirt and rocks and create an even landscape. Proper grading is also important for drainage and erosion control. Occasionally, dirt may need to be removed or brought in and added, depending on the scope of a project. Two important factors that affect both clearing and grading are the slope of the land and the condition of the soil. Sloping land, rocky terrain, and wetland areas can all make for a more difficult and time-consuming project.

*Lawn Re-Sloping: Re-sloping a lawn may help with drainage problems in a yard, prevent water from flowing towards the basement or foundation, and provide erosion control.

*Fire-Hazard Clearing: Removing any dry or overgrown vegetation, dead trees, and oversized trees growing or extending too close to a structure is an important preventative measure in fire-prone areas.

*Tree & Stump Removal: Often, trees and stumps can't be safely removed without experience and specialized equipment, and in most cases, shouldn't be attempted as a DIY project. Completely pulling a stump out removes most large sections of roots, and prevents the future rotting and caving in of large sections that may otherwise remain. Hauling away large pieces of a tree or stump can be a lengthy and back-breaking process, but with the proper equipment, it takes a fraction of the time.

*Excavation: Using heavy machinery can significantly decrease the timeline of a project, but it's not feasible for every homeowner to buy an excavator, trencher, or backhoe. With the right experience and equipment, even a small team like ours can quickly accomplish most tasks.

*Driveways & Patios: Excavation for a driveway or patio can include grading and hauling in the projects materials. Even in smaller projects, proper drainage is important in order to avoid standing water and enhance durability.

*Swimming Pools & Ponds: Building a swimming pool or pond is not as simple as digging a hole in the ground. Grading is as vital here as it is in any other excavation project. Additionally, creating a natural pond is a significant undertaking. Some factors that should be considered include the size and depth of the pool or pond, the soil conditions, and the location of the pool or pond on the property.
