About Us: The Minds Behind the Lens

We are Chantel and Derek Keener, a husband and wife team who met in elementary school and became inseparable two years after he graduated. We were brought together by our love for capturing the beauty of the world around us and life's fleeting moments. Our photography and videography careers began around the same time, and we decided to combine our services and start "Keen Imagery" in late 2013. We said "I do" on June 14, 2014, and now we have two beautiful daughters, Brookelyn and Brielle.

Our Story: From Friends to Business Partners

Our journey began when Derek asked Chantel out on a dinner and shopping date, which ended with checking out the local look-out. From that day on, we were inseparable, and many of our first "dates" were spent exploring new places and taking photos and videos. Two years later, Derek proposed at that same lookout where we went on our first date. We are truly blessed and thankful for our little family!

Our Services: Visual Storytelling

We both have over 8 years of experience in wedding photography and videography. Chantel is the lead photographer, while Derek is the lead videographer. He's the master behind putting all of those amazing clips to music, while Chantel is the one and only photo editor! We are always each other's "second shooter", unless of course we are both booked to do the same wedding, in that case we hire one of our preferred artists to be our second shooter/assistant for the day! Derek's gear of choice is his Panasonic GH5, while Chantel is totally in love with her Canon 5D Mark iv.
