Golf at Somerby
Atop a lush landscape of gently rolling hills, dotted with thick stands of trees, meandering creeks, and grassy marshlands, Somerby Golf Club echoes the grace and essence of golf's illustrious "Golden Age." Designed by renowned golf course architects John Fought and Tom Lehman, the 18-hole championship course extends from 5,160 to 7,209 yards and features generous fairways, wetland areas, and several ponds. Playing at Somerby will be an unforgettable experience every time you hit the course.
Social Life at Somerby
Membership at Somerby has and always will be a distinctive "way of life" that we are continually looking to enhance based upon the feedback and involvement of our members. The service provided to our members and guests is what defines the Somerby life and what makes us different from other private clubs. Everyone who walks in our doors has different expectations, and it is important that we learn the personal and practical needs of all who visit Somerby.
Cuisine at Somerby
Whether you stop in for a bite at the Grille after a round of golf, enjoy Friday night entertainment with your evening meal at the Chophouse, or sip on a fabulous signature cocktail on our newly renovated patio, our outstanding food and beverage remain a cornerstone of the member experience. The freshest ingredients - including many that come from small farms in the Midwest and sustainable seafood sources - inspire a menu that includes both familiar and unique fare.
Practice Facilities and Instruction
The practice area at Somerby features a large warm-up teeing area grassed in bentgrass matching the characteristics of the golf course tees. A smaller teeing area has been constructed at the opposite end of the range that includes a bunkered practice green allowing golfers to work on every aspect of their short game. For those looking for a challenge, our one-acre, 18-hole putting course will give you just that. We also offer a variety of golf instruction programs, including individual lessons, group clinics, and junior academies, all designed to help you enjoy the game of golf more.
