History of York Road Marine

The story of York Road Marine began with a man named Jozef Winszniewski, who started a small boat manufacturing facility, The Slepsk company, in Poland in 1989. Since then, the company has grown to become one of the largest producers of boats in Europe, manufacturing 90 different models for several big-name brands, amounting to approximately 3000 vessels produced each year. The Slepsk company has always prioritized quality, and now employs 1,300 people in Poland to keep up with the demand.

After producing boats as a subcontractor for many years, Jozef made the decision with his family to produce their own craft, the W43, creating the "Wiszniewski Yachts" brand in the process. While working on the development of the W-43 Yacht, they began thinking about the target market for their new flagship. This led them to York Road Marine, a perfect fit for the yacht, thanks to its central location in Southwest Florida, direct access to the Gulf of Mexico, and the equipment, staff, and expertise to handle all related activities.

In 2022, Jozef purchased York Road Marine, and just two months later, Hurricane Ian almost leveled the marina. Despite this setback, Jozef never lost his vision or drive and rebuilt "W-Yacht York Road Marine" better than ever. Today, we are proud to have successfully introduced Yamarin Boats to the US market and look forward to bringing the W-43 in for the 2024-2025 boat show.
